Conflict of interest and recusal (review staff)

POL-027 · Effective date: October 22, 2026 · Version 1.0.0

This policy applies to reviewers and review leads who score or approve client content in QueryTek Review. It does not replace your employer's policies for client-side users.

Your obligation

Speak up before you score when a personal, employment, financial, or organizational relationship could bias your work. Do not score assignments with a known conflict until your review lead reassigns the work or confirms you may proceed.

Review lead responsibilities

Treat disclosure as sufficient to pause work. Reassign using existing assignment and lead operations tools in the portal. Do not approve outcomes you scored while conflicted.

Adjudication panels

Panelists with a conflict must recuse from that case. Leads must not convene a panel where a majority share the same disqualifying relationship to the client or subject matter.

How to report

Notify your review lead through approved operational channels (assignment notes, in-product messaging, or internal chat). For integrity concerns you cannot resolve with your lead, follow ethical reporting procedures in your training materials.
